Mini Biography: Christopher Sebesta is entering his 24rd year of teaching and 9th year as Head Band Director at Haltom Middle School. Mr. Sebesta's responsibilities include directing the Honors Band, assisting with the Symphonic Band, and teaching beginner clarinet, low brass, double reeds, and flute classes. Prior to teaching at Haltom Middle School, Mr. Sebesta was the Assistant Band Director for 6 years at Indian Springs Middle School which was selected as the 2016 TMEA Honor Band, performed at the prestigious Midwest Clinic in 2014, and was named the 2013 winner of the Sudler Cup.  Mr. Sebesta also taught at Aledo and Holub Middle Schools during his career. Mr. Sebesta graduated summa cum laude from the University of Houston where he was the principal bassoonist for four years in the Wind Ensemble under the direction of Eddie Green.
